In an effort to ‘put myself out there’ and step out of my comfort zone, I've decided to start a blog. As some of you may know, I have recently moved to sunny Port Macquarie, NSW, and words cannot describe how happy I am!
New city, new friends, new art opportunities!
Since moving here, I've taken up surfing, am outside in nature every day and have experienced increased motivation to paint all that I see.
Exciting news! One of my artworks, ‘Tethered Tides’, was accepted in a small group exhibition at Cascade Art Concept gallery in Brisbane. I’ll also be participating in a group show running mid October through to January at a local art gallery. AND a solo show in the month of January in a local Arts Hub!
Tethered Tides, oil on panel, 20 x 20cms
I’m currently busy working a part-time job and painting and getting to the beach whenever I can. Nature has become such a huge part of my everyday life now…birds, dolphins and whales are always close at hand. I’m assuming a dolphin will inevitably make its way into a painting!
That's all for now!
See you in the next post.
